What is a Gaming Van?

A game van — also known as a gaming van, game bus or party bus —
Is a professionally converted vehicle designed to accommodate multiple video gaming stations,
screens and power systems, typically used by commercial operators as a mobile gaming experience.

Do you Hire out Gaming Vans or  offer Party Services?

No. We do not offer game van hire or party services.
GameVan Garage is a conversion specialist, building purpose-built gaming vans for operators who intend to run and manage their own business.

What vehicles are your Core and Core Plus conversions designed for?

All Core and Core Plus conversions are designed around long-wheelbase panel vans,
specifically the Mercedes Sprinter, VW Crafter, and Iveco Daily. (minimum 4.3m load length)

These vehicles offer the ideal internal length for the GameVan layout — length is key to achieving the correct flow, functionality, and finish.

All pricing shown on this website is based on these vehicles.

Can you build the conversion in a different vehicle?

Yes, we can build in other vehicles such as Luton vans, box vans, or alternative platforms.
However, these builds are priced on a bespoke basis due to differences in size, structure, materials, and labour time. We don’t generally recommend these vehicle types, as panel vans work best for entrance/exit access and overall usability — and the longer the van, the better.

Why does pricing change for different vehicles?

Different vehicles require varying amounts of materials, fabrication, upholstery, and labour.
Larger or non-standard vehicles take longer to build and often involve additional complexity, which means they cannot be priced the same as our standard base vehicles.

What does ‘bespoke additions’ mean?

Bespoke additions are custom features outside the Core and Core Plus packages, or our preset optional upgrades.
These are charged on an hourly labour rate plus materials and are always discussed and agreed in advance before work begins.

Are the Core and Core Plus packages fixed?

Yes. Core and Core Plus are fixed specifications designed around a proven, high-quality layout and finish.
Optional upgrades can be added, but the core layout itself remains the same.

Can I mix items between Core and Core Plus?

No. Core and Core Plus are defined packages.
If you require features outside a package, these would be treated as optional upgrades or bespoke additions.

What optional upgrades are available?

A range of optional upgrades is available, including electrical, lighting, climate, ventilation, solar, and upholstery upgrades.
These are listed separately and priced individually.  Optional Upgrades can be found HERE

Do you offer fully bespoke conversions?

No. We specialise in a fixed, refined layout with optional upgrades.
This approach allows us to maintain consistent build quality, reliability, and realistic lead times.

Do you supply base vehicles?

No. Customers supply their own vehicle.
Vehicle suitability should be discussed before booking to ensure compatibility with the chosen package. Any additional work required to make a vehicle suitable for the layout or design may result in additional labour charges.

How long does it take to build?

Build times vary depending on the package and selected upgrades.
As a general guide, most builds take 8–10 weeks. This timescale may increase if the vehicle falls outside our recommended list or if bespoke additions have been agreed.
Final timescales are confirmed once specifications are signed off.

What are your current lead times?

Lead times can vary significantly depending on how many builds are booked in
and how far through the current conversion we are at the time of enquiry.

Because our schedule is constantly moving, lead times can change quickly — sometimes dramatically — even from one week to the next. A single booking, cancellation, or reschedule can affect availability.

For this reason, we don’t publish fixed lead times. Instead, we’ll give you the most accurate estimate possible at the time of enquiry and keep you informed as your booking approaches.

Once a slot is secured, we plan workshop time around your build, but flexibility is sometimes required as projects progress at different rates.

Do you require a deposit?

Yes. All conversions require a £500 deposit to secure a booking slot.

This deposit is non-refundable and allows us to reserve workshop time and begin planning your build.
If a booking is cancelled at any point before the vehicle is due to arrive with us, the deposit will be forfeited.

We understand that delays can happen, and where possible we’ll work with reasonable rescheduling requests. However, moving a booking isn’t always straightforward. In some cases, the original slot may need to be filled by another conversion, which could result in a later start date once a new slot becomes available.

We always do our best to accommodate changes, but availability cannot be guaranteed if a booking needs to be moved.

What are your Payment terms?

On the day your vehicle arrives with us, all conversion details and selected upgrades are finalised and signed off.

At this stage, a 50% payment is required before work begins.
A mid-stage payment is then requested during the build, typically around four weeks in, depending on the scope of the conversion.
The final balance is due on completion, prior to vehicle collection.

Full payment terms and timings are explained clearly during the booking process, and we’re always happy to discuss any questions in advance.

All payments are made via bank transfer.

Can I see examples of previous builds?

Yes of course, you can find lots of images of previous works on our Gallery page
